Born of Fire by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Oh no! It looks like this is the last of my archived posts- well, I’m glad we’re ending on a good note. This Throwback Thursday is for the second in the amazing series, The League, seriously- so good!

This is possibly my favorite series to date.  Born of Fire is the sequel to Born of Night (which is my highest rated novel to date) and this one was just as good, if not better than the first one.  I probably enjoyed this one more because the heroine was kick ass which lead to some interesting times between her and the hero of the story. This was the type of book that I got angry when I had to go and do something else, and it was always in my purse in case I had a few minutes of waiting time that I could find out what happened next.  I’m very excited for the next one in the series Born of Ice.

Born of Night by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Ooooh! This book! This series. I had to pull this great book out of the archives for today’s Throwback Thursday post.  You really don’t even need to read the rest of this post- just go and grab yourself a copy!

Born of Night is the first sci-fi romance novel I’ve read, and I loved every minute of it!  The book is longer than most, which was a nice change.  This space action novel will capture you from the first page and keep you hooked until the last!

Born of NightBook Blurb:
In the Ichidian Universe, the League rules all.  Expertly trained and highly valued, the League Assassins are the backbone of the government.  But not even the League is immune to corruption…
He was born and trained to kill: Command Assassin Nykyrian Quiakides once turned his back on the League– and has been hunted by them ever since.  Thought many have tried, none can kill him or stop him from completing his current mission: to protect Kiara Zamir, a woman whose father’s political alliance has made her a target.
She must accept his protection– or die.  As her world becomes even deadlier, Kiara must entrust her life to the same kind of beast who once killed her mother and left her for dead.  Old enemies and new endanger them both and the only way they can survive is to overcome their suspicions and learn to trust in the very ones who threaten them the most: each other.
